English National Ballet invites you to experience Dance for Dementia, a dance and cultural programme that supports people living with Dementia to enjoy dance classes accompanied with live music, social time, and access to dance performances and behind the scenes opportunities. English National Ballet are delivering a series of free taster workshops, welcoming people living with Dementia, to share a creative experience along with their families, loved ones and carers.

Dance for Dementia offers welcoming and open dance classes, designed to engage the body and mind. Creating a space to creatively explore movement, these joyful classes are inspired by ballet and contemporary dance techniques and include seated and standing exercises for all abilities.

Dancing encourages freedom and expression, whilst positively increasing strength, mobility, and wellbeing. English National Ballet’s classes are led by an experienced team of Associate Artists. Classes take place in-person at English National Ballet’s world-class studios at the Mulryan Centre for Dance in Canning Town, East London. Refreshments are provided after the practical dance classes.

All ages and experience levels are welcome. These taster classes are free of charge but booking a place is essential.
