Art Wednesdays

Posted: 3rd October 2023

Every Wednesday from 2pm – 3pm via Zoom – stay stimulated, re-energised and connected from home!

Art Wednesdays is an outstanding opportunity for people with memory challenges and their companions to socialise, engage creatively, learn new art techniques, discover fascinating art and heritage collections and improve their brain health in a friendly online video workshop via Zoom.

Our weekly sessions are run by Arts for Dementia staff, talented artists, or partners from museums and galleries, and all of them encourage participants to get creative from the comfort of their own homes. These sessions are fun and relaxed and enable people to share ideas and creations – it is all about giving it a go!

We are delighted to be able to welcome guest hosts to some sessions, which are always fascinating. These have included curators and guides from leading museums such as the V&A, Science Museum, Museum of London, Sir John Soane’s Museum and the Wallace Collection, who have engaged and enriched us, bringing their buildings, exhibitions and collections to life. Other guest hosts have included talented facilitators for singing, dance and craft.
